Newcomer

Actress (f/d) as "Käthe" for the student short film "Sprich es raus"

Application phase closed
Job description

We are a dedicated film team from the FH Salzburg and are working on the university production "Speak it out" as part of our Master's degree program in MultiMediaArt. Our aim is to bring a visually and content-wise powerful story to the screen using professional film technology and high production quality.

📖 Brief content:
The film tells the story of Johann, a young journalist and video producer who leads a successful life on the outside but feels completely burnt out on the inside. It is only on the stage of a poetry slam that he finds the courage to openly express his inner struggles - a moment of liberation and self-discovery.

🎬 Shooting period: April 19 - 28, 2024 in Salzburg, Austria
(The period falls partly during the Easter holidays - please indicate availability.)

💰 Compensation & accommodation:
As this is a university production, we unfortunately cannot pay a fee, but of course we will take care of catering on set. A place to live in Salzburg and the surrounding area would be an advantage

Role/requirement profile

Käthe (barista, later slammer, 40-55 years old) - 2 DT

Käthe works as a barista in a café and meets Johann with dry humor and a palpable sense of life experience. Behind her tough demeanor lies a story of adaptation and restraint - something that only unfolds when she herself takes to the stage - in a possible second episode of the series, but which is teased in a mid-credit scene
